On Saturday, October 21st, 2023, I will be giving a mixed media workshop at the Cline House Studio in Cornwall, Ontario. I look forward to welcoming you to the marvellous world of Japanese paper! Discover how these delicate handmade papers respond to various types of water-based paint such as ink, watercolour, gouache and acrylic. Step-by-step demos will explore different types of paper, mark making and applying colour using brushes, sticks, string etc. Create many individual pieces which, when dry, will be cut up and re-assembled to make smaller collage works. All materials and a 10″ x 10″ frame for your favourite finished piece are included. All levels of experience are welcome, just bring along your sense of play and adventure!
